Learn about what is classed as work at height, what it isn’t….
and how to avoid it!
A basic awareness of the requirements, systems, equipment and legislation involved in working safely at height.
You don’t know, what you don’t know!
Need to educate the team? – then this is for you.
To provide awareness of how to avoid working at height, the legislation involved and how to stay safe.
Please note: This course WILL NOT qualify learners to work or move around at height. This Working at Height Awareness course is theory based.

This half day course will teach your team the regulations in an easily understandable way, where questions can be asked and advice freely given to help your team determine if the space is actually deemed as “work at height” under the regulations.
Whether or not it is truly working at height, a suitable risk assessment and some control measures to protect those around you can be a good idea anyway.
For example, signage to inform people, a record where people are working and tethers prevent dropped tools – even on safe working platforms, items drop over barriers!
I think I know what working at height is – but I’m not sure…
Neither is my boss….
Do stairs count? What about scaffolds, internal ladders on to roofs
If I don’t know, how do I avoid it?
As a construction manager I need to go up on to the scaffolding or platform to talk about or review the project
I’m told it’s a safe working platform…., but how do I know?
How do I keep myself safe whilst I’m up there?
As the production manager, myself and my team may need to visit all parts all parts of the site, throughout the production process…
If a process changes or some material needs handling differently, which then causes the team to work differently, believing they are helping the production process…
Could the team unknowingly be moving into places that are deemed at height?
• Maintenance or facilities management teams • Electrical engineering • Mechanical engineering
• Telecoms • Construction workers • Surveyors
