This rescue from height training course is customised to suit your needs, addressing your specific issues. It builds on your work at height skills, and allows your team to be an integral part of your rescue plan. This supports your height teams or a suspended co-worker – should an incident occur
If your height teams need immediate help, then training and equipping an in-house rescue team or your work at height teams to rescue from height may be the answer.
Rescue Team Competence:
Rescue from height (if good planning and training are in place) happens very infrequently.
However, the seriousness and potential skill fade from low incident frequency and as such requires rescue skills have to be revalidated every 2 years to maintain competence.
To train and assess individuals to safely gain access to, provide immediate care for your particular requirements. Allowing rapid recovery a co-worker, including one who has fallen into suspension, after an incident at height.
Strongly suggest undertaking additional medical training
Rescues may need a specific set of skills to lift, lower, move and drag across differing and complex sites, often with multi-stage systems required.
Anchors may be difficult, with multiple levels, vertical ladders, tricky edges, slipforms, silos, overhead and tower cranes, to name but a few.
Your particular requirements may need elements from across our skills range to be brought together with the right equipment to form a custom-made rescue from height solution.
This means you need a rescue plan, training and equipment to save a life.
This rescue from height training course will give knowledge, skills and structure to a rescue.
Whilst the maintenance team are inspecting the jib and tower sections of their crane, they have a medical emergency. They need to be lowered to the ground quickly and safely.
Knowing that the site is remote and that the emergency services may take time to get the required skills to the incident, the onsite rescue team conduct the rescue, lowering the casualty to the ground, ready for the arrival of the paramedics.
As a supervisor and senior member of an experienced height team, I know how exposed you are all day. Weather can change quickly and fatigue can lead to accidents. The requirement for a proven rescue solution was identified as a priority.
Site conditions and seasonal weather determined practice of our rescue plan away from the hazard. Building and practicing on a mocked up version of the problem allowed rescue scenarios to be done in safety and with regularity, meaning everyone was ready!
As the manager, I’m responsible for the team’s day to day work.
Not just the task, but accessing the location, staying safe and planning for rescue if something were to go wrong…
It’s my duty to step back and plan the whole job safely…
If someone needed to be down (or up) in an emergency, who would do it, with what equipment and how would it be done? This solution ensured no entrapments on hoops or ladder rounds.
• Aggregate engineers • Plastic moulding manufacturers • Environmental consultants
