If the task simply cannot be done from the ground (or safe working platform) and needs the freedom of movement at height, you must be able to work at height safely.
Anyone, with no previous experience, who requires the skills to access, move around, secure themselves and safely work at height – then this is for you.
To train and assess individuals to manage and maintain their own and their co-workers safety while working at height, and to be able to act effectively in an emergency.
This 1 day course will teach your team the legislation in an easily understandable way, what you are able to do and how to help others at height.
If the edges need to be unprotected, if you need to work on (or on the outside of) a structure, then this will help you to assess and build anchors, apply system redundancy, minimise and arrest a fall, set up work restraint and use work positioning.
Essentially to learn practically – to be safer whilst working at height.
We can adapt solutions to fit your needs too.
A maintenance operative needs to service a fan on top of a silo.
There is a ladder climb, tools / materials required and a difficult transition from the ladder to the roof of the silo.
It’s clean, but there are plenty of opportunities to slip, fall, or drop items whilst working up there.
An engineer needs to access an overhead crane at a manufacturing company. The team needs to know the safest way to get up there, work safely and get back down again.
Plan the journey, fit the harness, tether the tools, minimise the potential fall and know what to do in case it doesn’t go to plan…
Whilst working on a flat roof, fixing a satellite dish, there is the chance of falling off an open edge or through a roof light.
The fixing teams need to know the dangers, how to avoid them and how to keep themselves and their colleagues safe near them.
Creating their own adjustable restraint system is just one of the options to allow them to operate safely.
